Nashville, TN (March 1, 2012) ----- Centricity Music's Aaron Shust has ended an incredible run at #1 on five charts with his hit single, "My Hope Is In You". This marks the first week since September 19, 2011 that the song has not been #1 on a Christian music chart. Besides being a mega-hit for Shust, the single marks the first #1 at AC Radio for Centricity Music. Here are the overall stats for "My Hope Is In You".
AC Monitor Chart- 14-week #1 song
AC Indicator Chart- 7-week #1 song
Soft AC Chart - 6-week #1 song
National Audience Christian Chart - 9-week #1 song
iTunes - #1 downloads Christian song
"We are so proud of Aaron and what he has accomplished with his debut project for Centricity, This Is What We Believe," says Steve Ford, Vice President of Marketing, Centricity Music. ""My Hope Is In You" marks the first AC #1 for Centricity and when it hit the top of the chart we were thrilled, but now with a 14-week run we're ecstatic. We knew when Centricity signed Aaron he was a special artist and we think the second single, Risen Today, will be just as strong with listeners and radio."
Risen Today was scheduled to go for adds at radio late January, but due to the overwhelming success of "My Hope Is In You", the second single had to be moved back for radio adds this week. Risen Today is a re-make of the well-loved hymn, Christ The Lord Is Risen Today, and gives the classic tune an upbeat delivery but with the same respect for the message of the lyrics. Fans will have the chance to hear Shust perform the song live on the spring leg of the highly-popular Called To Love Tour that launces in March 2012.
